From July 11th,
2017, Solemnity of Our Holy Father Benedict, Patron of Europe, 1st
volume of the new Antiphonale Monasticum
edited by Praglia Abbey will be available for purchase.
The volume, 900
pages about, in Latin, contains hymns, antiphons and verses for the
Temporal cycle and for the ferial Office celebrations according to
Füglister’s B scheme, as while as Magnificat
and Benedictus
antiphons for all Sundays of the three cycles (A, B and C) of the
Liturgical Year. A textual section containing dominical and festive
psalms in Latin (Nova Vulgata)
is also included, while an external booklet with the same texts in
Italian (psalms text of the 1974 CEI edition) is available together
with the book (no additional price required).
This antiphonal is
the biggest and most complex Gregorian edition since now, as far as
we know, entirely realized with Gregorio software for the encoding of the music (the book contains 2000
digital scores about) and LuaLaTeX software for global pagination
and book creation.
